Alha Crush 6 seconds after the start

Under Consideration Vladislav Berehich 20 days ago

Hello. I've been having a problem since late autumn. I updated my browser and now it's not working properly. It starts up and closes on its own. I have both vesrion of latest supported Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.

Good day,

Thanks for your feedback. What Aloha version and OS versions do you currently have?

Regards,

Aloha 4.16 adn Win 11 25H2. Noticed after I quickly went into settings to check the browser version in 6 seconds, the browser didn't crash, but if I don't go into settings, the browser crashes.

Got it, please do the following:
1. Open Windows program cmd
2. In cmd, open the Aloha application folder, for example:
C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Aloha Mobile\Aloha\Application
3. Run Aloha from cmd using the following command:
Aloha.exe --enable-logging=stderr -v=1
4. Reproduce the issue and send the full output from the cmd window to us.

Thank you,

Hi there,

We’re not seeing a crash log on our end, but we do see synchronization activity starting immediately at launch. It’s possible the app is crashing due to an issue while attempting to sync passwords.

Could you please try disabling password synchronization on your other device and then launch the app again? This may help prevent the crash.

If that resolves the issue, please let us know — it will help us narrow down the cause.

Thank you!

Hello again. Disabling password synchronisation just on my mobile phonedid not help. But I disabled synchronisation only on my PC, and it stopped crashing.
Now browser usable, but a little inconvenient 😅

Hi there! 👋

Thanks for your report — we have logged this bug and a fix is expected to be released in about 1–2 months. In the meantime, our developers would really appreciate a bit more technical information to help investigate the issue further.

How to Collect Verbose LogsPlease follow the steps below to generate a technical report.
Note: These logs contain only technical diagnostic information and no personal data.

  1. Open the Windows Command Prompt (cmd).
  2. Navigate to the Aloha folder by pasting this command and pressing Enter:
    cd %LocalAppData%\Aloha Mobile\Aloha\Application
  3. Run the app with the debug flag:
    Aloha.exe --enable-logging=stderr -v=2
  4. Once the crash occurs:Right-click anywhere in the CMD windowChoose “Select All”Press Enter to copy the log
  5. Paste the copied text into a .txt file and send it to us.

A Few Quick QuestionsTo help narrow things down, could you also let us know:

  • What was the exact version of Aloha you were using before this update?
  • Did the crashes start immediately after the update, or only after a specific action?
  • Did you experience any crashes before installing the latest version?

Once we receive the logs and your answers, we’ll pass everything directly to the dev team for analysis. Thank you for helping us improve Aloha! 🙏

Hello

  • I don't remember which version I didn't watch. But it happened after the autumn update.
  • Immediately after updating the browser
  • No, this didn't happen before.
