Installation Has Failed

Known Anthony Shaw 20 days ago

Trying to install Aloha Browser on an HP Omniflip X64 laptop running Windows 11Pro with nearly a terrabyte of free space on the hard drive.

It keeps giving the following errors:

VPN_installer.exe

"The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem."

That error is repeated two more times for the files VCRUNTIME140.dll and VCRUNTIME140_1.dll, after I clear it.

Following the third missing file error, I receive the "Installation Has Failed" error.

I ran a file search for VCRUNTIME140 and there are hundreds of files showing a variation on that filename in my windows system folders.

Any suggestions to help with this situation would be appreciated.

Good day,

Thanks for reporting!

vcruntime140_1.dll is part of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (not the browser itself). If it’s missing or corrupted, apps won’t launch or install.
Fix:
1. Download the official Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
• Get Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015–2022
• You need both versions:
vc_redist.x64.exe
vc_redist.x86.exe
2. Install both
Even on 64-bit Windows, some apps still need the 32-bit (x86) version.
3. Restart your computer (important—don’t skip)
4. Reinstall Aloha Browser

Usually installing this and reboot a pc is enough to complete the install
