aloha won't start

In Progress oksle 6 days ago

Hi,

Aloha Browser hasn’t been able to start since the update in November. I’ve uninstalled the app, deleted the LocalAppData folder, and tried running it as administrator, but nothing has worked.

Could you please help with this issue?

Thank you.

Good day,

Thanks for your feedback. When you try to install Aloha, is there any errors displayed? Also, what windows version do you use?

Regards,

Aloha Team

Thanks for the log, unfortunately, we cant trace much from it. Please do the following:

Steps to remove all Aloha data and collect logs:

  1. Stop all Aloha-related processes (e.g., aloha_service.exe) using the Task Manager. Please ensure that you check both the Details and Services tabs in Task Manager app.
  2. Uninstall the Aloha application using Apps & Features.
  3. Download the installer from our official website and run it without administrative privileges. This is important, as the logs indicate an uninstallation issue related to administrative rights.
  4. Run the Aloha browser from the command line with logging enabled: Open Command Prompt and execute the following command:

PATH_TO_APP\aloha.exe --enable-logging -v=2

5. Send us the generated output log for further analysis.

Thank you,

Hi,

The error shown is not caused by our application. It is related to the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime on your system. To resolve this issue, please install both the x64 and x86 versions of the latest supported Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from the link below:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist

After completing the installations, please reboot your PC and then try running the application again.
