Freename.io Web3TLD .247 not working

Solved Adam Holms 9 months ago

I got an email from Freename.io that their TLDs would work natively with aloha browser, which I think is great. When I tried to use my domain learnmeditation.247 it did not work. I can use it on the freename.io chrome extenstion and it works fine.

I was hoping you could look into making .247 work on the browser.

Web3TLD.com has the full list of my TLDs with Freename.io

Kindest Regards

Good day,

Thanks for your feedback. What device model, Aloha and OS versions do you currently have?

Good day! Please restart Aloha, then wait around 1 min and try to open learnmeditation.247. It should work as expected 🤝

So right now the domain learnmeditation.247 is being forwarded via the freename.io system to LearnMeditationFree.com. When I do as you said in your reply above I get the following page.

There is nothing much we can do about redirects though. This is not Aloha’s doing.

OK, no worries. So as long as it is connected to IPFS/IPNS it should work?

Hi again,

We did a research and it seems that Freename web3 sites works only on mobiles for now. You can use ios/android on this particular website and its should open correctly 👌

Update:

Turns out, it is broken in Android too due to it being iOS exclusive feature.
It will be fixed in Aloha/Android 5.8.
