Deleted files on aloha didnt free up storage space but increase storage of System Data on iPhone

Solved John Fontana 10 months ago

iPhone 13 app version 5.5.1 and iOS 17.3.1

Not why but I clear everything down and my app storage stayed at 24GB.

How can I clear what’s causing that? I also have app analytics data if that would help (see attachment)

Good day,

Thanks for your feedback. In this case please also clear the bin folder in Aloha's file manager 🗑️

I don’t have a bin folder in the file manager. How do I make that visible?

Tap settings icon in the lower right corner in the toolbar, then enable Move to trash toggle. However, it seems that this toggle has been disabled previously so your deleted files were erased permanently instead of going to the bin folder.

I’ve always had the set for a while because if I delete once I don’t want to then go into the trash and delete it again. But should I leave it on from now on and do this so this doesn’t happen again/anymore?

Yes, if you leave the toggle on then it will help avoid cases with accidentally deleted files 🙂
