And Linux? And the Flatpak format?

Under Consideration Ricky Tigg 29 hours ago

Hello. So, the product dedicated to Linux relies on a restrictive expansion model; only one type of package is supported.

$ file -b aloha_setup64.deb
Debian binary package (format 2.0), with control.tar.zst, data compression zst
If there was one mistake not to make as a developer or development manager, it was this: to embark on the path of supporting packages specific to a Linux distribution, even though the flatpak format exists, and for a reason. And as expected, it would be regrettable that the said type of package is not in the format used by a user's Linux distribution, as it goes for me. What a shame, having put a development effort on the wrong track, which, if it had been put on the right track from the start, would have allowed it to cover the widest possible range of users.
