Keyboard overlays the chat/text input field on websites

Solved Adam J ● 10 hours ago

Since updating to iOS 27, I’ve noticed an issue in the Aloha Browser app when using websites that have messaging or chat features.

When the chat/text input box is located at the bottom of the webpage, tapping the text box causes the iOS keyboard to appear directly over the input field. The keyboard covers the area where the text is being entered, making it difficult or impossible to see what I’m typing.

Before iOS 27: When I tapped the text input field, the webpage would automatically move/scroll the chat box upward so that it remained visible above the keyboard. This allowed me to see the text I was entering while the keyboard was open.

Since iOS 27: The webpage no longer moves the chat input field above the keyboard. Instead, the keyboard overlays the bottom portion of the webpage and covers the chat box.

This appears to be an issue with how Aloha handles the iOS keyboard/viewport when a text input field is near the bottom of a webpage.

Expected behavior: When the keyboard opens, Aloha should automatically adjust or scroll the webpage so that the active text input field remains visible above the keyboard.

Actual behavior: The keyboard opens on top of the active text input field, preventing the user from seeing what they are typing.

This occurs on multiple websites with chat/messaging boxes positioned at the bottom of the page and started after updating to iOS 27.
