Deleting files does not work, they only become invisible.

When I delete 40 gb of video files from Aloha they are no longer visible in the Aloha file manager but they still take up approximately 40 gb of storage space on my ipad. They are just renamed system files (or something). This seems to be a problem others encountered as well. To me it is a new phenomenon. It used to work fine. But now it risks bricking my ipad because I won't be able to update the ipados for lack of space. I have the latest ios. And I do not use the recycle bin, so I can't empty that.

Hi there,

Thanks for posting! What Aloha and iOS versions do you currently have?

Lets try one more thing: please "Clear Cookies" and "Clear Cache" in the Privacy settings.

Thank you. I will try that next time I copy vids to my pc. I wonder if the problem might be caused by the recent ios updates? Anyway, this time I reset my ipad as a "new" ipad which of course got rid of the superfluous "system files". But I do hope I don't have to do that every time. It's rather a nuisance.
