Question regarding Download Storage: App-specific vs. Device Storage
Hello Aloha Community,
I have a question about how Aloha Browser handles download storage. Does the browser use its own independent cloud/internal storage for files, or does it use my device's physical storage?
I've noticed that my phone's storage capacity decreases every time I download a file through the browser. Before installing Aloha from the Play Store, I was under the impression that the app provided its own separate storage space for downloads to keep them off my main device storage.
Could someone please clarify if there is a setting to avoid using device storage, or if all downloads are required to be stored locally on the phone? Thank you!
Good day,
Thanks for your feedback.
All files downloaded in Aloha Browser are stored on your device storage in Aloha folder that is inaccessible to other apps due to system-level restrictions. These files will also be automatically deleted when Aloha Browser is uninstalled. The only exception is the "Device Downloads" folder, which we display in the general list – this is a shared downloads folder on your device that other apps can access.
Currently there is no cloud service in Aloha browser.
