Good day,

Thanks for your feedback. Please reinstall Aloha VPN profile and try the servers again:

For iOS users: Go to Aloha VPN settings - Tap Remove Aloha VPN profile - Exit Settings and tap shield icon to reinstall Aloha VPN profile.

For Android users: Go to device settings - Connections - VPN - Aloha VPN - Remove Aloha VPN profile - Go to Aloha app - tap shield icon to reinstall Aloha VPN profile.

Let me know how it goes!

Regards,

Aloha Team

Disconnected and reconnected but still says Overloaded and fails to loads websites. It asks me to add the website to the ‘allowed website list’ but that requires ID in U.K. !

Thanks for the screenshot, what Aloha and OS versions do you currently have?

I’m on the latest of both. (iPhone 16pro)

iOS: 26.6.1

Aloha 8.9.0 (no update available)

Hi, Is the problem still occurring?

  • Are all websites failing to open with VPN enabled, or only some? For example, does google.com work?
  • Does the same issue occur if you switch to another internet connection, such as from home Wi-Fi to mobile data?

Hi can confirm the issue is still occurring - free vpn still says ‘overloaded’. Only restricted websites don’t load such as 18+. Google and other general websites work (slowly). Can confirm it’s also the same even if using mobile data connecting with the VPN (still won’t work).

Still not working 👎

Please provide the exact addresses of 2–3 websites that don’t work.

* Do these websites open with the VPN switched OFF?

* Did they work before, and if so, roughly when did the issue start?

* With Aloha VPN ON, please open cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/trace and ipleak.net, then send us screenshots of the opened pages.

These pages should only show information about the VPN connection, not your personal data, so it’s safe to share the screenshots.

Here are a list of x3 websites that will not open with or without a VPN:

https://www.documentingreality.com

https://tinder.com

https://pornhub.com

Okay so the issue started around 3-5 weeks ago. I know that in the U.K. we have the online privacy act - however, PH most definitely opened without a VPN, it would just load a safe and non 18+ version of the site. Now, even without a vpn it doesn’t show - and when the VPN used to work it would take you to the 18+ side of the site, it no longer does. Just get the following error messages….

Please update Aloha browser to the latest version and try the servers again. Let me know how it goes!

There’s no available update on iOS. I’m on version 18.10.0?

Aloha app requires an update not iOS.

Slight misunderstanding - Like I said, there is no available update for the Aloha app on the iOS platform. I am currently on 18.10.0 which is the latest. Please advise what to do next or what firmware version I should look out for - many thanks

Hi, Latest Aloha version is 8.10.0 which is listed below in your screenshot. It seems you are already on the latest. Just to clarify 18.10.0 is Apple operating system version.

Try to reinstall VPN Aloha Profile once more:

Go to Aloha VPN settings - Tap Remove Aloha VPN profile - Exit Settings and tap shield icon to reinstall Aloha VPN profile.

Not helpful at all. And I think you’ll find iOS current operating system is 27.1. Not sure where you’re getting 18.10.0 from.

It’s been 16 days now with no fix and you’ve just suggested a step that you’ve already told me to do, to which I told you that it didn’t fix the problem.

Please investigate more thoroughly and apply a fix in the next update !

Hi, in your tickets it is mentioned several times you are using 18.10.0 version, I now see its a typo mistake - thought you meant iOS older version 18. Just a misunderstanding. It is noted you are using latest Aloha 8.10.0 version and iOS 27.1.

I have forwarded your case to our QA team and will get back to you shortly.

No problem - I am actually on iOS 26.6.1.

I was just highlighting that the current available iOS is 27.1

Look forward to hearing a response - many thanks

Hi! So this actually might not be a VPN issue—it's just a setting on your device that needs a quick tweak.

First, check your settings here: Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions → App Store, Media, Web & Games → Web Content and make sure it's set to Unrestricted Access.

After that, could you do a quick test for us?

  1. Close out the VPN app completely and reopen it for a fresh start
  2. Tap the shield button to connect and wait until it stops flashing (that lets you know its fully connected)
  3. Open your browser and take two screenshots for us:[cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/trace](https://cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/trace)[https://www.documentingreality.com](https://www.documentingreality.com)

Send those two screenshots over when you get a chance and we will take a look.

Unfortunately this is a setting I’ve already looked into and there is no way around it in the UK due to the online safety act. When clicking ‘unrestricted’ it forces this pop up window and makes you enter an ID for verification. This never used to be the case before I opened this ticket - your app and the vpn would allow me to open any website. 🤷‍♂ any other suggestions? As people don’t want to provide ID in order to use the internet! Many thanks for your continued help.

Hi,

Regarding the Pornhub.com issue: the ID check for Web Content → Unrestricted Access was introduced in the UK in iOS 26.4. You mentioned your device have been updated recently. There is no way to bypass this setting, and using a VPN would not help. The only option would be to change the region on your device.

Regarding https://www.documentingreality.com, we still need you to follow these exact steps and provide screenshots:

  1. Relaunch the app so we can start with a fresh session.
  2. Tap the shield button to connect to the VPN.
  3. Wait until the shield stops flashing, which means the connection has been successfully established.
  4. Open cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/trace and take a screenshot.
  5. Open https://www.documentingreality.com and take another screenshot.
  6. Send us both screenshots.

These two screenshots will help us determine what is happening with the connection.

Okay thanks for the reply - unfortunately it’s a problem with all websites even something like Reddit we cannot access 18+ rated communities anymore. I guess this is just how it is now if a VPN can not bypass it. Which is strange, as you’d think a VPN would be able to trick the device into thinking its regional settings were changed. So not sure why a VPN can’t fix this anymore. I guess there’s not much else to say or do unfortunately - I think you guys might find a massive drop in people continuing to use your service due to not being able to access stuff without putting their ID in. Thanks anyways for trying to help!

Update: I’ve now passed Apple’s 18+ check and can access certain websites (only with a VPN) however, Aloha still says ‘Basic server overloaded’ and will not show me what country I connect to. Strange thing is, the VPN does seem to be working very slowly as it does load restricted websites when toggled on.

So is there a fix for the overloaded message or is this now permanent?

Still waiting for screenshots.

Can confirm that visiting documentingreality.com only works with the Aloha VPN ON but still says basic server overloaded.

Hi, It looks like the access issue is resolved, and you should now be able to access the sites you need.

Regarding the “Overloaded” message, it means that the server currently has limited capacity available for free connections. Availability may change depending on current demand.

Premium users have access to additional server capacity and more connection options, which can provide more consistent availability.

Best,

Aloha Team

Okay, I’ve only ever seen the basic server as ‘overloaded’ for the last few weeks every time I’ve been on the app so I guess you’re just going to leave it in this state constantly.
