Option to use custom user-agent string for iOS aloha browser

Completed Alyu 20 months ago

Currently user can only choose between "Mobile" or "Desktop" for User Agent under [Settings]-[General]. However, some websites responded better for browser's User Agent string which does not contains "Aloha". It would be great if users have the option to enter their preferred custom User Agent string to surf smoothly using Aloha browser app. Please consider adding this small improvement. Thank you.

Thanks for suggesting! What device model do you use?

Hi, I am using iPhone. I noticed that some iPhone Apps have their customised User-Agent string and are actually using the HTTP protocol. As such, it is also possible to use Aloha iOS browser with built-in Desktop User-Agent string to navigate to such Apps web interface to use their functions without using the actual App. However, some Apps have very customised User-Agent string (such as having their own App name in the User-Agent string) and in this case using the Aloha default Desktop User-Agent string will not provide a full interface experience. Therefore, it would be great if the iOS Aloha browser have an option to let user freely key in any customise User-Agent string in addition to the current "Mobile" and "Desktop" options for User-Agent string. This improvement will make Aloha a super browser! Thank you for your consideration for the suggested improvement.
