Mac Intel App is stuck on 2.0.0.0

Completed Eneil 15 days ago

Hello.

I am having problems with the version ever since 3.0.0.0 was released. I would install regularly up until that point. Upon its’ release, I would hit the update button. It would say Version 3.0.0.0 of Aloha is available to install. Do you want to download it?

I then clicked yes and nothing would occur. Waited a few weeks, attempted again with the same outcome. Moved to the website and downloaded the Intel dmg. Installed, opened and it showed that the update was available.

Waited till this week and decided to export bookmarks, delete the app from applications, delete the cache folders except aloha mobile, as well as the plist. After that, I installed it from the website again.

This time, I checked about: version and still have 2.0.0.0. I then clicked the update button, and was able to download the dmg this time. After closing the browser, I clicked the dmg, replaced the app and re opened it.

It was still 2.0.0.0

I don’t know if the link for Intel is incorrect or something else.

I am using Mac OSX latest beta.

Thanks.

Good day, Eneil

Thanks for your feedback. We don't have an auto update on macos. The only way to update it- install new version from web site. We are working on this issue and hopefully, in next few weeks it will be done.

Hello. Thanks for the info. Keep up the great work. Aloha is my default browser on mobile and was my default desktop browser earlier.

Hello Again!

You are very welcome. You have worked very fast. Thank you sincerely!

I can confirm today that the Browser had an update (The Two Spiral Loops icon appear near the profile button) with an update for 4.0.0.4.

Upon clicking it, it pulled the dmg from the website and downloaded to my downloads folder. (This was how I updated a few months ago.)

Upon opening the Dmg, it informed me that the previous installation was older. (This message hasn't show up in months).

After replacing it with the new version, I opened it up and went to about: version.

And see this: 4.0.0.4 (Official Build) (x86_64).
!!!

So, I should be ok now.

Since, the Mac version is still in Beta, is there a blog or area where I can view the release notes?

And perhaps, after an update, maybe you can provide a redirect to said place.
