iCloud Passwords Chrome Extension Not Working in Aloha Browser on macOS 15.4.1

Completed Sharoon Qadeer 10 months ago

Hello,

I'm currently using macOS 15.4.1 and have installed the iCloud Passwords Chrome extension. The extension works perfectly when I use it in Google Chrome.

However, when I try to use it in the Aloha Browser, the extension fails to detect that I'm on a Mac. Because of this, the extension does not function, and I cannot access my iCloud passwords.

Is there any workaround or update planned to make this extension compatible with alternative Chromium-based browsers like Aloha?

Thanks in advance for any help or clarification.

Good day,

Thanks for your feedback. Currently extensions are not supported in Aloha browser for Macs, but this is something we will work on in the future releases, so please stay tuned!

Hello,

I previously contacted support regarding the iCloud Passwords Chrome extension not working in the Aloha Browser on macOS. At that time, I was informed that extensions were not yet supported in the macOS version of Aloha but that this feature might be added in future releases.

As of now, the situation still appears unchanged. The iCloud Passwords extension works correctly in Google Chrome, but in Aloha Browser it cannot function because extension support is still unavailable. As a result, I am unable to access my iCloud passwords when using Aloha.

Because of this limitation, I repeatedly install Aloha to try it again, but eventually have to uninstall it since I rely on the iCloud Passwords extension for daily browsing.

Could you please provide an update on whether extension support—particularly compatibility with extensions like iCloud Passwords—is planned for upcoming macOS releases of Aloha Browser?

Thank you.
