Loving the new Liquid Glass + a humble request for macOS
hi,
i just wanted to reach out because i’m genuinely excited about the direction aloha is taking lately.
on ios, i’m absolutely loving two things:
- the new liquid glass design language, and
- the “press and hold on a video to download” feature (long press, or long mouse click when applicable).
they sound like small touches, but for me they change the whole feel of the app. the ui feels more modern and alive, and the video download gesture is honestly one of those features you start relying on immediately.
that’s why i wanted to ask, with a lot of hope: is there any chance these could come to the macos version too?
i don’t know how difficult it is to bring liquid glass over on the macos side, especially if the macos app is chromium-based. maybe that part is truly hard, i understand. but even if liquid glass is a longer-term thing, i would be so happy if at least the “long click to download video” feature could be added to macos.
please don’t treat this as just a generic suggestion. i’m asking because i really care, and i really want aloha to be my default browser everywhere. if the team is open to it, i’d also be happy to test it or provide quick feedback.
thank you for building aloha, and thank you for listening. i’m genuinely rooting for you.
