This typically happens when Windows signature enforcement, SmartScreen, or system policies prevent unsigned files from running.

Please follow the steps below:

1. Delete the current installer.
2. Download the latest version of Aloha directly from our official website.
3. After downloading:
Right-click the installer → Properties
If the “Unblock” option is present, enable it and click Apply
4. Run the installer as Administrator.
5. Ensure your system date and time are set correctly, as incorrect settings may cause signature validation to fail.
6. Temporarily disable SmartScreen:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Windows Security → App & Browser Control → Reputation-based protection → Turn off

If you are using a corporate-managed device or if AppLocker / strict signature enforcement policies are enabled, installation may be restricted by system policies. In that case, try to install the app under a standard administrator account.

Hi, Since the standard steps (disabling SmartScreen/Antivirus) haven't resolved the issue, the error code [install_worker.cc(146)] Failed creating a firewall rules suggests that the installer is unable to communicate with the Windows Filtering Platform or a specific system service is blocked.

Please try the following advanced steps:

1. Check the Base Filtering Engine (BFE) Service

The installer needs this service to be active to create networking rules.

Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.

Find Base Filtering Engine.

  • Ensure the Status is "Running" and the Startup Type is "Automatic". If it's disabled, right-click -> Start.

2. Run System File Checker (SFC)

There might be a corruption in the Windows Management Instrumentation or Firewall API.

Open Command Prompt as Administrator.

Run: sfc /scannow

  • After it finishes, run: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  • Restart your PC and try the installation again.

3. Perform a "Clean Boot"

Sometimes third-party background utilities (even if security is "off") interfere with the installation process.

Type msconfig in Windows search and open it.

Go to the Services tab, check "Hide all Microsoft services", then click "Disable all".

  • Go to the Startup tab -> Open Task Manager and disable all startup items.
  • Restart your PC and attempt the installation.

4. Environment Check

To help us narrow this down further, could you please clarify:

  • Are you using an official Windows 11 ISO, or a "debloated"/custom version (like ReviOS, Tiny11, etc.)?
  • Are you using any third-party firewall management software (e.g., GlassWire, Little Snitch for Windows, or specialized VPN drivers)?

Please let us know the results of these steps. Thanks,
