VR Player issue

I notice that some of my VR video (180 degree, left & right) cannot display directly. When I open some video, including h.264 (most) and some AV1 video, there will be a room interior with a video being played on the small screen, and I can do nothing.

May I know how the VR player decide on the format? For example, can I use any software to adjust the video? Thank you.
